She has received a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, the Raphael Prize and the prestigious Dr. Herbert Hoffman Award. Her work is in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York.
Suzan has received her BFA and MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design.
As an artist, Suzan creates unique, original and often very labor intensive "one-of-kind" pieces. These are sold through galleries or can be viewed at public institutions. They can also be commissioned to match one's personal style.
Recently Suzan has created lines or multiples. Each piece has slight variations based on an original design intended to be repeated and made more affordable. The multiples are dynamic, following fashion trends, color schemes and new investigations. Therefore they change from one season to the next, and are constantly being updated with new ideas.
